Headaches
We've all had a headache at some point in our lives. But for some people, headaches can be a regular occurrence. In fact, headaches are one of the most common types of pain. There are many different types of headaches that people suffer from, like cluster headaches, migraines, and tension-type headaches. While most headaches are harmless, some can be a sign of a more serious condition. Therapists in the H2 Health Family provide customized headache treatment to relieve your symptoms.
HEADACHES TREATMENT & CAUSES
Headaches can often be debilitating if they occur frequently. However, the cause of your headaches may not always be apparent. We aim to investigate the potential causes for your headaches and provide you with an effective treatment plan. There are three main types of headaches that we encounter in our outpatient clinics:
- Tension-type headaches – these are the most common type of headaches people experience. Tension headaches occur in band-like pattern mostly on the forehead. They occur due to extreme or prolonged stress and lack of rest. They are often recurring.
- Cluster headaches – these headaches occur mostly in males and are located around the eyes. The pain usually affects one side of the face and head. It is also preceded by a runny nose and watery eyes. The pain can be very extreme at times. Cluster headaches are sometimes inherited.
- Migraines – the notorious throbbing headache that doesn’t let you sleep, rest, or work. Migraines occur mostly in women and are accompanied by photosensitivity (light sensitivity) and phonophobia (sound sensitivity). It is throbbing in nature and can persist for 72 hours.
We understand how hard it can be to deal with a headache, and we are here to sort it out for you. We’ll work with you to find the cause of your headache and prescribe the right treatment plan for you.
