Expect your first appointment to last about an hour. We like to get to know you and talk about expectations during therapy. General orthopedic therapy appointments last about 45 minutes to one hour but can fluctuate depending on your specific care plan and complexity of treatment.

Absolutely! Our locations accept most insurance plans, but sometimes it is more cost-effective to pay out of pocket. Please contact our call center to discuss specific self-pay therapy programs.

H2 Health is in network with the majority of commercial, government, and private insurance companies. For specific plan questions, please contact our call center.

Your frequency depends on your complexity of care and recommendations from your physician. Most patients come two to three times per week for 4 to 6 weeks for the best physical outcomes. We can work with your individual needs to create a plan custom to you.

No! The majority of our facilities are able to see you without a doctor’s prescription. We would be happy to verify that your benefits allow you to come in by calling our call center.

In some states, we have a mobile therapy service that comes to your home for a limited number of visits to transition you from your home to an active outpatient clinic environment. To verify you are in a region where mobile therapy is available, please contact our call center.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows your therapist to access your treatment area and lets you move freely.

Absolutely! All clinics abide by the ADA regulations so we can accommodate anyone with a disability.

We understand that life is hectic, and cancellations are unavoidable at times. We ask that you call 24 hours prior to your appointment time if possible and have another appointment time in mind.

Your first visit will consist of an examination, discussion of your diagnosis, and implementation of a treatment plan. During the examination, we will test for strength, range of motion, flexibility, or any other helpful information to determine your current baseline. During the discussion, we want to get to know you and encourage you to talk openly with your therapist and ask any questions you may have. After those key components are completed, we will start implementing your plan of care to get you back to normal!

Therapy should not hurt, and it is the safest option to getting better. Because you will use parts of your body that are injured or have chronic pain, therapy will sometimes be difficult or challenging. Pain is our body’s way of telling us something is not working well. If you have pain during your appointment, please communicate with your therapist to make sure the pain you are feeling is normal.

After you complete your plan of care, you should have all the resources you need to continue your recovery. Your therapist will provide you with a final home exercise program and will always be available for questions, even after you graduate! We offer tune-up visits if you would like more time with your therapist. We also offer wellness plans at all our clinics to help you continue your healthier lifestyle.

Of course! Everyone on the H2 Health team completes all state and national requirements and participates in continuing education programs to stay up to date on the newest therapy practices.
